Description: Plan, implement and achieve revenue goals for the Chapter's RivALZ Blondes vs. Brunettes event. This position requires significant collaboration with staff, volunteers, corporations, organizations and the community at-large to achieve goals. Volunteer coordination responsibilities include the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers for RivALZ. In addition, this position will provide design, marketing and logistical support for Walk to End Alzheimer’s (WTEA) and other Development activities. The Development Coordinator works closely with all Walk Managers to provide exceptional service internally with our staff and volunteers and externally with our Walkers, team captains and donors. Essential Job Functions RivAlz (Blondes vs. Brunettes): • Manage, coordinate, and implement all aspects of the RivALZ Blondes vs. Brunettes event. • Identify, recruit, train and manage high impact volunteers for fundraising events who will assist the organization in increasing concern and awareness as well as growing revenue. • Participate in meetings, providing input and suggestions. Maintain steady communication with Chapter staff, volunteers, and vendors. • Manage, evaluate, and expand fundraising programs with the Director of Constituent Events’ leadership. Organize, lead, and promote interest in special events. • Assist and maintain databases for all event participants and donors. • Work with Chapter Leadership to establish budgets, work plans and timelines for events. • Educates committee and participants on Alzheimer's disease and the Alzheimer's Association and assures proper use of the Alzheimer's Association brand. • Creates and manages the RivAlz Convio website for participant recruitment and fundraising. Walk to End Alzheimer’s (WTEA): • Create digital images for website development, social media, print advertising campaigns, collateral materials and any other projects that arise. • Order and inventory of collateral materials, t-shirts, event da
Skills: • Bachelor's Degree Required; Business, Marketing/Communications Preferred • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, peer-to-peer fundraising or similar roles • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite. • High level of proficiency with social media programs, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and/or LinkedIn. • Work history indicating dependability, accuracy with details, and deadline management. Ability to accurately maintain records, prepare reports, and coordinate multiple projects. Effective logistical coordination skills. • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
