Description: The development Assistant provides support for all aspects of the Development Department. The position is responsible for input and updates to the Development Department database. This is a full time position - Monday through Friday, and will include some evening and weekend work for special events or as needed. Input and update to the Raiser's Edge Database, including building and maintaining donors in the database. This also includes updates on changes of demographic data for donors; including address, marital status, email and phone numbers. Add events and site visit information to the database, as supplied by others. Running development donor reports, mailing lists, end-of-the-month reports, and other reports needed. Timely and accurate thank you gift acknowledgements to be sent to donors and appropriate honoree and memorial cards when designed. Assisting with various special events. Provide administrative assistance to the Development Director. Support Development Staff and Volunteer Resource Manager with various holiday giving responsibilities, including tours and data entry of in-kind gifts. Position provides support to the receptionist to cover lunch period.
Skills: Applicants must be 21 years of age or older. Candidates will need excellent interpersonal and public relation skills. Candidates need two years minimum Raiser's Edge Experience. The position requires significant attention to detail, superior organizational and writing skills and the ability to work quickly and efficiently. Candidates should be skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel and general database knowledge with computer applications and willing to learn Raiser's Edge and other applications as needed. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and be self-starter. Willing to work with the Development Staff and other departments as needed. Knowledge of Casa de Esperanza and ability to give tours of the Casa de Esperanza neighborhood. Employee contingent upon successful completion of criminal background. Applicants must be eligible to work in a full time position in the United States and must maintain such status.
